I am Dr. Soumya Maity (pronunciation, Sho-um-mo Mai-ti), an information security expert, currently working as Principal Product Security Engineer in Opentext Corp since 2017.
With security and compliance becoming a major concern for virtually all organizations, I help my company to ensure its products are built with security in mind. I help my team to apply best practices at every stage of the product development life cycle as well as in the post-release response process.
Prior to OpenText, I was an associate principal engineer in EMC² (now DellEMC). I also worked as a Lead Engineer in the R&D division of Samsung Electronics and worked in embedded system and middle-ware security implementation.
I did my Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. My PhD dissertation, titled Access Control Models for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks, is available here. I have published more than 20 international research papers, filed 2 patent applications and coauthored a bookchapter on next generation network security by CRC Press, USA.
